From Venice to Vaughan Williams: Choral Music in the Round

Ticket prices £15 and £12 Concessions
The inspiration for this programme is the unique layout of the magnificent Sir Christopher Wren-designed church, St Stephen Walbrook. The pews are arranged in a circle around the white polished stone altar, sculpted by Sir Henry Moore.
This concert highlights the influence of the “cori spezzati” of San Marco in Venice over choral composers across the ages. The works are scored for a variety of different forces: two choirs in different configurations and three choirs. Each piece will be performed in different locations to make the greatest use of this wonderful building.
